Engaged Faculty Institute

Two times a year, we offer the Engaged Faculty Institute (EFI Online) for those interested in teaching community-engaged courses. This two-week, online, asynchronous learning experience uses curriculum developed by California Campus Compact and Campus Compact of the Mountain West. The institute works best for those who are ready to design or re-design at least one specific community-engaged course and is open to all faculty (tenured/tenure-track and instructors). We also encourage staff who support curricular community engagement experiences to participate.

Instructors from Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact member institutions can participate at no cost. Those from non-member campuses can participate for a $250 fee. Contact iamncc@compact.org for more information.

2023-24 Scheduled Institutes:

      • Winter cohort: January 4-19, 2024
      • Spring cohort: May 10-24, 2024

If you are looking for other ways to engage new faculty or build new skills, we can provide development opportunities on your campus. We offer two-hour or half-day workshops on community engagement skills and practices, including partnership, assessment, reflection, and more. Learn more.
