2020 Presidents’ Engaged Campus Awards

September 30, 2019

Iowa & Minnesota Campus Compact today announced the nomination process for the 2020 Presidents’ Engaged Campus Awards. The new process combines the best of past awards in each state and will help us to recognize, celebrate, and tell the story of great individuals, projects, and programs in both Iowa and Minnesota. While the awards process is the same in both states, awards will still be presented at individual events in each state: April 17, 2020 at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota and May 5, 2020 at the Des Moines Botanical Gardens in Iowa.

New This Year

This year, we are offering four new selective award categories to showcase innovation, collaboration, employer partnerships, and civic-minded alumni. These nominations will be reviewed by outside reviewers and one awardee per state will be selected each year. Nominations for these awards can come from employees, students, alumni and community partners of Iowa and Minnesota Campus Compact member institutions (self-nominations accepted). Nominees must be affiliated with a Campus Compact member institution in Iowa or Minnesota as an employee, volunteer, student, alum, or community partner.

Staying the Same

Every campus will also still have the opportunity to recognize one student, one faculty or staff member, and one community partner leading the way in their campus community. A campus may select a recipient for one, two, or all three of the categories. Each recipient selected by their president/chancellor will be recognized at the awards event in their state.

Nominations are due February 24, 2020. Learn more here.
